During the COVID-19 crisis, we, like many other Professional Home Inspection companies have decided to refrain from performing Home Inspections.
The reasoning behind this is to prevent the risk of spreading the COVID-19 disease, thus supporting the Health System here in Ontario, and hopefully savinig lives in the process.
A Professional Home Inspection requires our inspectors to attend the site, which we cannot guarantee the condition of. We risk transferring the virus from the outside into the property, and transferring it from the property to others, and ourselves and those we come into contact with.
Given the virulent nature of this virus, we do not believe the risks warrant this.
We do however recognise that without our services, the financial risks to our clients and potential clients, in purchasing a house, may increase.
We have decided that, during the pandemic, to offer a free-of-charge email service to any potential purchasers are still going through with a home purchase.
We will answer any questions you have about the potential property. While this is in no way equivalent to a Professional Home Inspection, it provide you with information that explains items you may be concerned about.
The decision to proceed with the purchase is, as always, yours.
This services is offered free on the sole condition that you do not hold FPPI, it’s inspectors, employees or any associated business or individual, liable for any information you recieve or any decsion you make as a result of that information.
